Formerly PoppyWynn Flower Co.
Flowers from the Heart of the Farm
Tucked between the hay fields and prairie skies, Flower Fields at Toews & Bale is our little corner of the farm dedicated to beauty, gathering, and the quiet magic of things grown by hand.
What began as PoppyWynn Flower Co. has slowly grown into something bigger: a seasonal flower experience rooted in prairie life, slow mornings, dirty boots, overflowing buckets, and armfuls of blooms carried back to the truck.
We grow thousands of seasonal flowers here in rural Alberta, focusing on varieties that feel romantic, textural, whimsical, and deeply connected to the changing rhythm of the seasons.
The flower fields sit alongside our working family farm, where hay is baled, kids run barefoot through the yard, coffee is almost always on, and new ideas are constantly taking root.
Whether you’re stopping in for a bouquet, filling a bucket with blooms, or wandering the rows during golden hour, we’re glad you found your way here.
What You'll Find Here
U-Pick Flowers
Come wander the rows and fill your own bucket with seasonal blooms grown right here on the farm. U-Pick evenings are designed to feel relaxed, welcoming, and connected to the beauty of rural life.
Farmer’s Choice Buckets
Fresh-cut buckets filled with seasonal flowers for florists, flower lovers, events, and DIY weddings. Every bucket is unique and shaped by what’s blooming in the fields that week.
Each 3 gallon bucket is full of a mix of fillers, small, medium and large flowers totalling about 60-80 stems, starting at $70. Specific colour palettes may be more, and minimum orders apply.
Seasonal Bouquets
Throughout the growing season, we offer fresh bouquets featuring the best of what’s blooming in the fields, from peonies and snapdragons to cosmos, dahlias, grasses, and unexpected prairie textures.
No two weeks ever look quite the same around here, and honestly, that’s part of the magic.
Wedding Flowers
We offer a limited number of seasonal wedding flower bookings each year for couples looking for natural, garden-inspired blooms grown right here on the farm.
Our floral style is garden-inspired, seasonal, and guided by what is at its peak in the fields. Rather than recreating exact Pinterest photos, we work with couples who value locally grown flowers and trust us to design something beautiful using the best blooms available at the time of their celebration.
We currently offer:
DIY wedding flower buckets
Bridal bouquets & bridesmaid florals
À la carte wedding flowers
Farm-grown blooms for intimate celebrations
Because we are a working seasonal farm, availability is intentionally limited and tied closely to what is blooming in the fields.
If that sounds like your kind of flowers, we’d love to hear from you.
Life Around the Flower Fields
Flower Fields at Toews & Bale is part of a larger working prairie farm rooted in hay production, agriculture, family life, and slow rural experiences.
The flowers grow alongside hay fields, prairie winds, muddy boots, old machinery, late suppers, and the kind of sunsets that make people pull over on the side of the highway.
This place isn’t overly polished, and we like it that way.
It’s real, seasonal, beautiful, sometimes chaotic, and deeply loved.

Absolutely! We love welcoming families to the farm.
Please keep children with you while exploring the flower fields, as this is a working farm with uneven ground, equipment, and plenty of interesting things to discover. We hope they'll leave a little dirtier than they arrived.
-
Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes or boots you don't mind getting a little dusty—or muddy after a good rain.
The flower fields are part of a working farm, so the paths can be uneven in places. We also recommend bringing a water bottle and your camera, there are plenty of beautiful moments to capture.
If you'd like to arrange your flowers before heading home, you're welcome to use our covered gathering shelter beside the fields.
-
Yes! We'll provide snips and a bucket for harvesting, along with a few tips to help you cut flowers that will last beautifully at home.
-
There are! Our hand-built farm outhouse is located just a short walk from the flower fields. It's simple, charming, and very much part of the authentic farm experience.

Friendly, relaxed, and rooted in the season.
Whether you're planning a wedding, picking your own bouquet, or ordering flowers for someone special, our goal is to make the experience feel personal. We grow what the prairie gives us, design with the season, and believe some of the most beautiful flowers are the ones you never expected to fall in love with.
Can’t make it to the farm?
We've got you covered.
Each week throughout the growing season, we harvest fresh flowers for our farm store and also deliver blooms to Floral Delivery in Edmonton through the Cooperative Flower Network.
You'll also find our weekly flower availability on the Open Food Network, where you can shop locally grown flowers from farms across Alberta, including ours.
Wherever you find them, you can count on flowers that were harvested fresh from our fields and grown with care.
